This week’s Difference Maker Highlight is Cerissa Lundsford! Cerissa serves in many different ways at Restore. From serving in rKids and leading an rGroup to writing cards that encourage others, she is always looking for ways to make a difference. Her most recent serving role has been stepping into leadership with First Fridays, where she continues to make a positive impact. She is always willing to jump in, lend a hand, listen to others, or offer a word of encouragement. And if you know Cerissa, you know you can always count on seeing her smile. In fact, if you’ve attended First Fridays, you’ve probably seen her handing out both popcorn and smiles to everyone she meets! What makes Cerissa such a Difference Maker is that she doesn’t just share the love of Jesus with those around Restore Church; she carries that same love into our community. Whether she’s serving, encouraging, or simply showing up for someone, Cerissa is a beautiful example of what it looks like to love people well and make a difference wherever God places her. She does it all with a joyful spirit and the joy of the Lord that shines through in everything she does. Thank you, Cerissa! You truly are a Difference Maker!

Every Saturday, CityBeat opens its doors to serve warm meals, care for the community, and pray with those who come through their doors. Volunteers from churches and the surrounding community serve alongside the CityBeat team, pouring soup, cleaning streets, and building relationships that remind people they are seen, valued, and loved. What makes CityBeat’s ministry so meaningful is the way restoration happens through relationships. Families who once came through the doors to receive help are now finding opportunities to serve others, becoming part of the same community that supported them. At Restore, they faithfully serve on the Hospitality Team, Creative Team, Card Writing Team, Security Team, and most recently, the First Fridays Team. Whether they’re greeting guests, helping create welcoming environments, writing notes of encouragement, serving behind the scenes, or building community through First Fridays, they consistently step up with joyful and servant-hearted attitudes. What makes Aaron and Sherri truly special is that their impact isn’t limited to serving at Restore. They share the love of Christ in their everyday lives, encouraging and uplifting people wherever God places them. Aaron recently shared, “Serving here is a pleasure and honor, and I cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us here.” Aaron and Sherri’s willingness to serve, encourage others, and reflect the love of Jesus both within the church and beyond is making a real difference, and we are so grateful to have them as part of the Restore family.

As we celebrated 15 years on Sunday, we were reminded of Joshua 4. After God brought His people through the Jordan, He told them to stack stones as a memorial of His faithfulness. Each stone told a story. Each stone reminded future generations: God was faithful here. We all have stones in our story. Moments where God provided. Moments where He made a way. Moments where He carried us through. And the beautiful thing is that we don’t stop at one stone. We keep collecting them. We keep telling the stories. This week's Kindgdom Builder's Highlight Ken and Jenna Combs, Assemblies of God missionaries serving in rural Appalachia through Rural Compassion. This week's Difference Maker isn't one person. It's the 96 volunteers who helped make Mega Kid Camp our most successful ever. They served meals, directed traffic, prayed with kids, ran games, danced, shot bubble guns, cleaned, planned, transported campers, created videos, donated meals, solved problems, and showed up day after day with joyful hearts. Some came straight from work. Some served on nights they weren't scheduled. Some arrived hours early to set up. Others gave financially to care for our volunteers. Many stepped into brand-new roles and took ownership without being asked. Every act, big or small, helped create an unforgettable experience for the next generation. What stands out most isn't what they did. It's why they did it. They didn't serve for recognition, attention, or applause. They served because they want kids to know Jesus. They served with the Attitude of Christ, who "did not come to be served, but to serve." Because of these 96 Difference Makers, hundreds of kids experienced fun, friendship, biblical truth, and the love of Jesus. To every volunteer who served one night or all four, thank you. You are helping make a difference, not for our church's name, but for God's Kingdom. You all truly are Difference Makers!

Recently, a young woman reached out to Wendi feeling overwhelmed by regret and struggling to see a future after a recent abortion. Through a simple phone call, a listening ear, and the Bible-based recovery study, she was reminded that God's grace was still available to her. After completing just the first chapter, she shared that she could already sense God's presence in her life again, describing it as "a breath of fresh air." Your generosity through Kingdom Builders creates opportunities for life-changing ministry every day. Through Wendi's work with SaveOne, people carrying the weight of shame, regret, and trauma are encountering the healing presence of Jesus and finding restoration in Him. This week's Kingdom Builders Spotlight is Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). FCA exists to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, creating opportunities for people to grow in their faith, build authentic community, and boldly live out the Gospel. This summer, FCA continued to make a lasting impact by hosting sports camps where students had the opportunity to develop their skills in a variety of sports while building friendships, growing in confidence, and being encouraged both on and off the field. They also opened their property to the community during the World Cup, creating a welcoming space where families, friends, and neighbors could gather, connect, and enjoy the matches together. Through simple acts of hospitality, FCA continues to build relationships and share the love of Christ in practical ways. Whether through sports camps, community events, campus ministry, or discipleship, FCA is committed to reaching people where they are and pointing them to Jesus. Whether they're leading worship on Sunday mornings or serving behind the scenes, they continually point people toward Jesus through both their gifts and their hearts. Their impact goes far beyond the worship platform. Sean and Emma also serve on our production team, helping with both in-house and online sound. They faithfully lead worship for rYouth, invest in students as youth leaders, and have recently served alongside EJ and Tina Tuzan through Extreme Family Outreach, caring for and feeding our local community. Sean and Emma, thank you for the countless hours you've poured into serving God and His people. Your willingness to say "yes" time and time again has made a lasting impact on our church family. More importantly, know that God sees every sacrifice you've made. As Hebrews 6:10 reminds us: "For God is not unjust. Their passion is raising up the next generation of ministry leaders. Through immersive cross-cultural experiences, practical ministry opportunities, and intentional discipleship, they are helping men and women discover God's calling on their lives and preparing them to share the hope of Jesus wherever He leads. This weeks Difference Maker is Cole Bursk of the Production Team. Cole recently joined the Production Team with one simple goal: to serve wherever he was needed. Since then, he’s jumped in wholeheartedly—starting with running lights before quickly learning how to design and adjust them. Even more recently, Cole has begun training as a sound engineer, taking on one of the most technical roles on the team. Beyond his service within the walls of Restore, God has given Cole great ambition and a heart to help people. He’s a college student on a pre-med track with hopes to be a nurse, works at a local hospital, and is currently training to run a full marathon (that’s 26 miles, folks). His drive to learn, serve, and grow is evident in everything he does. One of the most meaningful moments in Cole’s journey happened recently when he was baptized during one of our Thursday evening rehearsals. It has been a joy to witness God moving in his life, and we’re grateful to have him serving alongside us. We can’t wait to see how God continues to use Cole, both on our Production Team and wherever God leads him next. Thank you Cole, you truly are a Difference Maker!

Stacy is investing in the future of the Church by equipping pastors and ministry leaders through theological training, helping them confidently teach God's Word and disciple others. She also trains believers in compassionate outreach, empowering local churches to share the hope of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways throughout their communities. Beyond Cameroon, Stacy partners with Africa Oasis to equip women's ministries across Africa with resources and training to help prevent human trafficking, bringing hope, protection, and the love of Christ to those who are most vulnerable. This week’s Difference Maker is Adele Vroman! Adele is an integral part of our Prayer Team, faithfully showing up with a heart ready to serve the body of Christ. She consistently makes herself available to pray, offering spiritual insight, words of encouragement, and Spirit-led prayer with a deep sensitivity to people’s needs. Adele is also a committed member of our Prophetic rGroup, which meets on Wednesday evenings. She has taught on many occasions and continues to help others grow, be sharpened, and walk confidently in their spiritual gifts. Her heart for ministry extends beyond the four walls of the church. Adele has served our community during First Fridays by sharing God’s love through prophetic ministry and words of encouragement. In addition to her passion for prayer, Adele is gifted creatively. She has helped bring ideas and support to our Creative Team during Christmas and Easter, and recently led an incredible Paint Night at The Well, beautifully combining painting with the prophetic. Whether she’s praying at the altar, encouraging someone in a small group, or ministering in the community, Adele is truly a Difference Maker! This week's Difference Maker highlight is Kristal Gahre! Kristal faithfully serves in so many ways at Restore Church. She is a valued member of the Card Writing Team, serves weekly in rYouth, is part of the Fiduciary Team, helps with rYouth fundraisers throughout the year, and has volunteered at Mega Kids Camp. No matter the need, Kristal is always willing to jump in and serve with a joyful heart. Each month, Kristal writes encouraging cards to people both within Restore Church and throughout our community to uplift them and bring hope. Her words remind others that they are seen and loved. She is also a constant source of encouragement to the rYouth students she invests in week after week. You can find her taking them to batting practice, shopping trips, hosting events in her home, or creating opportunities for families to connect. She understands that every young person is unique, and she intentionally loves and supports them according to their individual needs and interests. She doesn't simply serve to complete a task; she serves to make a difference in the lives of people. Kristal, thank you for your servant's heart, your willingness to go above and beyond, and the countless ways you impact both Restore Church and our community. Your investment in others is helping create life change, and you truly are a Difference Maker!

This week's Kingdom Builders highlight is Restore's very own Mega Kid Camp! MKC is a week-long camp for elementary-aged kids filled with over-the-top fun and Jesus-centered activities. Over the years, it has grown into Restore's largest outreach into our community. For four nights in August, kids and volunteers learn the Attitude of Christ through unforgettable experiences—from Human Foosball and Flying Donut to the dreaded Fast Food Smoothie! Pastor Thomas recently ran into a past MKC attendee who was disappointed she had "aged out" of camp. When she learned she could come back as a volunteer, she immediately wanted to sign up. That's the kind of impact MKC has on kids and families. It takes nearly 80 volunteers to make Mega Kid Camp possible. From coaches and referees to prayer team members and snack servers, there's a place for everyone. For many of our current families and volunteers, MKC was their first connection to Restore Church. Every gift to Kingdom Builders truly impact the community around us, and through Mega Kid Camp, we get to experience it and see the impact as well.

From the moment they started attending, they quickly became part of the Restore family through their kind hearts, warm dispositions, and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed. Their smiling faces and friendly conversations have made such an impact on our church community in a short amount of time. Whether you’re walking in for the first time or have been here for years, Dave and Lori have a way of making people feel seen, valued, and welcomed. While they may be fairly new to serving here at Restore, they are certainly not new to serving the body of Christ. Both Dave and Lori bring a long history of faithfully serving in many different capacities over the years, and that servant-hearted spirit shines through in all they do. We are so thankful for Dave and Lori and excited to see what God has in store for them during this season. Dave and Lori, thank you for making a difference — you truly are Difference Makers!

This week, we are honored to highlight Mike and Cara, Global Workers serving in Germany and across Europe, as our Kingdom Builders! Mike and Cara are making a lasting impact through multiple areas of ministry. In Germany, they partner with local churches to share the gospel, develop leaders, and help establish healthy, Spirit-filled churches in communities that need the hope of Christ. Cara also serves as the Child Safety Lead for AGWM, helping protect missionary children and ensuring ministry teams operate with integrity and care. Across Europe, Mike and Cara provide Member Care for AGWM missionaries, offering counseling, support, and resources that help global workers remain healthy and effective in ministry. Recently, Mike shared a powerful story that demonstrates the multiplying impact of the gospel: "Years ago, while planting a church in Bavaria, I had the privilege of leading a 15-year-old named Raphael to Jesus. Coming from a family deeply involved in the occult, he came to our church after believing an angel had directed him there. That evening, Raphael surrendered his life to Christ. Twelve years later, Raphael and his mother are faithfully serving Jesus, both have graduated from Bible school, and today they are planting a church in their hometown. As global workers, we can start churches, but there is something especially powerful when local believers begin planting churches themselves." Raphael's story reminds us that every investment in Kingdom Builders helps transform lives, raise up leaders, and plant churches. What began with one young man encountering Jesus has now grown into a new church reaching an entire community. Thank you for your faithful support of Kingdom Builders.
