Grace Academy is a Maryland-approved homeschool umbrella, listed on the Maryland State Department of Education Umbrella Schools website. We go beyond evaluations—helping families connect through monthly meetups, field trips, and shared learning experiences. 

What's Included:


  • 1–2 peer evaluations yearly
  • Professional teacher and student IDs
  • Once a month meetups and field trips—like holiday parties, hands-on learning days, museum trips, and family fun (all voluntary)
  • Facebook group access for families
  • Help with curriculum selection

Grace Academy was created to fill a need for our Restore Church families and our local community. We wanted something that provided the necessary evaluations, but also went deeper to build connection between kids and families. Grace Academy is a blend of a traditional umbrella and a co-op. Our monthly meetups include parties, field trips, and parent-led activities like resin art, flight simulation, and more. We also host holiday readings, crafts, and experiences shaped by the interests of our families. It’s all designed to help families learn, grow, and enjoy the journey together.

Fees & Enrollment

  • New family enrollment fee: $50
  • Student fee: $60 (additional students: $25)
  • Activities fee: $45 per student (includes meetups, crafts, snacks)
  • Evaluation only: $75 per student
  • Evaluation + ID: $85 per student
  • Graduation fee (12th grade): $100 (cap & gown, official transcripts, diploma)
